Zero corners were cut creating this magazine. Fondle the anti scuff cover and you will understand how much goes into picking a paper stock. Blood sweat and tears went into creating this coffee table worthy publication. We focussed on experimenting with expression focussing on typography, imagery color, grids and texture. The magazine has grown rapidly and so did I while designing it. The magazine can be found in more than 30 countries in small mom and pop stores. This issue was launched at Miami Art Week 2017. This issue hold dear to my heart being designed, edited, printed and shipped within a 5 week span. The release party at Miami Art Week went great. I was 2 hours late and I haven’t been as exhausted and hungover since. Cheers.

Early on during the cration of GRØSS magazine we started receiving (daily) hundreds of young artist submissions through social media. There was a clear lack in direction for young, talented and local aspiring artists. How do they become the next Pollock??? They lacked gallery representation and a place to meet like minded locals. A few beers in the backyard and we decided to launch RELISH, one city at a time in an attempt to re-establish local artist communities. We brought in local sponsors, created an epic magazine that each artist chosen can use as a portfolio piece to jumpstart their career. Oh and released 2,000 magazines during a pop-up group art show. Each magazine contained 35 local artists and 11 artist created stickers (each was hand-placed). Our first launch was in our home town of San Francisco. We rented out the Bookbinders Museum, south of market. Lagunitas donated 900 beers (we drank them in 2 hours, so quick and so many people showed up. We had security and they said it was a 30+ minute line based on capacity). There was only one small graffiti mark in the bathroom after and the show was a wild success. Enjoy.

Working with and external agency on a brand update, CK was having poor ROI with their existing style. I was brought on to build an interim style guide based on the existing font and color palette to provide clarity, guidance and a fresh new take on their color and typeface while they develop the new brand. This guide was a simplified and “foolproof” guide helping align the internal brand team as well as multiple outside agency partners working on developing important campaigns during the rebrand process.

Twitter's first presence at NewFronts I directed a team of 4 motion artist to fill a 130ft screen which wrapped 180 degrees around the 500+ guests. The presentation was 18,000 pixels wide and created entirely in After Effects. We spent many sleepless nights working on this one. We developed the presentation with the speakers in keynote and finalized each animation in after effects. Each click by the speaker was the beginning of an after effects video into the next. Twitter has been invited back since. The design was built to be simple, powerful and content forward.

If you don’t understand cryptocurrency raise your right hand… It’s complicated I know; I don’t know if if I know alot or nothing at all. ANyways, I worked with Ripple to create wild postings to excite the launch of their crypto currency and an event in NYC. The goal was to cross brand with the political issues of border crossing currently in the world.
1900 Los Angeles based artist submissions curated down to 35 artists and a popup gallery show and magazine release. This magazine seeks to support artists, one city at a time. It is our response to constant emails and direct messages from creatives looking for a place to be featured. We release 2,000 magazines containing 35 local artists and 11 stickers, only in that city.

I worked as the lead designer developing Gary Haugan’s talk for TED based on his leadership of the International Justice Mission organization. Our team worked with Gary to develop his verbal and visual communication simultaneously into a single compelling presentation. The talk has since been translated into 30+ languages and had millions of views.

We started GRØSS magazine because no one is making a fine arts magazine that is fresh and culture swaying. We both wear every hat possible to make this happen and are constantly burning the candle at both ends.
The magazine has grown rapidly from a garage project and can be found in more than 30 countries.
The cover is unidentifiable and a blend of every image within the magazine. This issue was the first exportation of typography and imagery under GRØSS. Have a look at RELISH and GRØSS VOL. 2 to explore my development.

For the 10 year anniversary of the # on Twitter We worked with three artists to create individual pieces that depict conversations focussed around the #. I developed initial concepts, sketches and art direction for each illustrator. Art credit: Pat Perry, Chester Holme, Andrew Rae.

Twitter's 2017 presence at CES. I directed a team of designers to create an experience that focusses on the most current conversations globally. Re-owning the #; a symbol first developed by Twitter. We we able to develope a visual experience mimicking the digital landscape of popular topics on Twitter. We worked on the development of everything from the walls to napkins.

I created this small promotional booklet for Cibo to send out to prospective clients. The booklet explains their philosophy, areas of expertise, and contains a smaller inner booklet of case studies.

A new template and training in keynote for presentations and one-sheets for the entire Twitter staff.

A redesign of Twitter's icon library. We chose to move away from a hand-drawn style due to recent style overuse in the industry. I must have made over 1,000 new icons during my stay.

Stickers on Twitter were scarcely used by Millennial's. I created a "word" sticker pack for the younger generations. The pack of stickers performed extremely well and became the first permanent group of stickers.
